Bob Carrico / Trombone, Vocals – A veteran of Colour, Bob started trombone lessons in 4th grade and played in Caesar Rodney bands & orchestras, Kent County Band all four high school years, and went on to study music at Delaware State College. Taking a sharp turn toward reality, he earned a degree in Business Administration from Widener University and has worked as an accountant for the past 22 years. Bob’s lifelong love of music has motivated him to pick up his trombone after a 30 year hiatus.
Chad Cooper / Congas, Percussion – Chaddy hit the local music scene at the ripe old age of 15, playing with Skuzzy Frogg, Shaky Jake and Asbury Mash. He moved to Virginia Beach with other Dover expatriates Glenn Howard, Craig Massey, Marty Ruddy and Chris Spong where they formed Polyphony. The next 9 years were spent on the road, five of them with Bill Deal & The Rondells, which included sharing the stage with BB King, The Band, Cream, Rare Earth, and others. Today, Chad is a Human Resources Manager with US Airways, directing over 500 employees.
John Davis / Keyboards, Vocals – Another native Delawarean, John’s early musical career included stints with Matter of Tyme, Juke, and Skuzzy Frogg. After graduating from the U of D, he has spent most of his adult life as a teacher, coach and educational specialist working with “at risk” students. He also earned an MBA along the way, and he has been involved with local & state politics since the ‘70’s. He returned to music & performing a couple of years ago.
Bill Englehart / Saxophones, Vocals – Bill’s love affair with music of all kinds started at home, where both his parents were professional musicians & educators. He played in a series of high school bands, including The Dukes of Rhythm, joining The Dimensions in 1967 for their final year. He then formed successful “campus bands” at the U of D, including Mackenzie and Stillwater, followed by a grad-school stint with Daimon, a Wilmington band doing club work in Philadelphia and at the Jersey Shore. He is president of Farley Printing Company in Wilmington, where he has not played music for 32 years.
Glenn Palmer Howard / Lead Guitar, Vocals – Glenn has been playing guitar & keyboards since the age of 12, and writing music since age 17. An active performer, Glenn played in bands in Delaware and throughout the southeast from the 70’s into the 90’s. He founded Palmer & The Push, rated one of Atlanta GA’s Top Three Bands in the early 80’s. He also has extensive recording experience, working professionally as an FOH Audio Engineer, Recording Engineer, and Producer. Joe Robinson / Rhythm Guitar, Vocals – Joe has been singing since age 5, and playing guitar since age 8. He played with Sounds Unlimited during his high schools years, putting music aside to become a small business owner specializing in remodeling, home improvements & general construction. His participation in the 1st Dover All-Stars Reunion Concert in 2007 “got music back into my blood – a great rush!” His lead vocals and steady rhythm guitar work are a big part of The DRAW’s unique sound.
Matt Spong / Bass Guitar, Vocals – Matt was a founding member of Colour, playing bass with the band from 1967-73. A Registered Landscape Architect, Matt has operated his own business, Landscape Architectural Services, LLC, since 1984. He is returning to music and performing after a 34-year “break” because he enjoys the “collective mature perspective” of this band and its interest in playing to make some good music and to give something back to the community.
